  • 0 Enrolled

Course Description:
The Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology is an advanced training program tailored for cardiologists who aim to specialize in catheter-based treatments of cardiovascular diseases. This fellowship equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and experience required to perform complex interventional procedures, manage acute coronary syndromes, and employ cutting-edge technologies to treat structural heart diseases and vascular disorders. Combining hands-on procedural training with in-depth theoretical knowledge, this program prepares cardiologists to excel in a highly specialized and dynamic field.

Course Objectives:
The Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology provides specialized training in cutting-edge catheter-based cardiovascular procedures to advance patient care and outcomes.

  1. Master diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy.

  2. Gain expertise in structural heart procedures like TAVR and mitral valve repair.

  3. Utilize advanced imaging and hemodynamic techniques for precise interventions.

  4. Develop skills in managing procedural complications and emergencies.

  5. This fellowship equips cardiologists with the knowledge and technical proficiency to excel in interventional cardiology and lead advancements in the field.

Career Opportunities:
Graduates of the fellowship can pursue careers as:

  • Interventional Cardiologists: Working in high-volume catheterization labs.

  • Structural Heart Specialists: Performing advanced structural interventions.

  • Peripheral Vascular Specialists: Treating peripheral vascular diseases through endovascular techniques.

  • Clinical Researchers: Leading studies on novel interventional approaches.

  • Educators and Mentors: Training future interventional cardiologists.

Course Modules :

1. Fundamentals of Interventional Cardiology
2. Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
3. Advanced Imaging and Diagnostic Tools
4. Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS)
5. Structural Heart Interventions
6. Peripheral and Vascular Interventions.
7. Complication Management
8. Device Therapies and Innovations
9. Research and Clinical Trials in Interventional Cardiology

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completing the Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology, participants will:

  • Perform coronary and peripheral interventions independently with precision.

  • Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic tools to guide interventions.

  • Manage complex cardiovascular conditions and procedural complications effectively.

  • Provide evidence-based care for patients undergoing catheter-based therapies.

  • Contribute to research and innovation in interventional cardiology.

Assessment Criteria:
Evaluation is primarily based on assignments; however, to pass, learners must fulfill all learning outcomes for each unit. Upon completing each unit, an interview will be conducted to verify the authenticity of the learner's work..

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the fellowship, candidates typically require:

  • A recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate training in cardiology (MD or DM equivalent).

  • Completion of a general cardiology fellowship or equivalent experience.

  • Valid medical licensure and demonstrated interest in interventional cardiology.

Course Duration:
The recommended duration for this qualification is 1 year.
Note: The duration may be extended if additional learning support is required.

This Course Include:
